''An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest''
Benjamin Franklin
Welcome back to the second online ALC Stars magazine.
The art of writing is a tough one because it involves different components and it is a very complex skill. That’s why students find it difficult and not as enjoyable as other tasks. Yet it is the most interesting skill that enables people to communicate with themselves, with others, and above all to inform the whole world about what is going on in their mind. If you are a gifted writer you find a good companion in writing, for you will reveal your thoughts and worries in your own words. We are very delighted for being able to help students explore their inner thoughts by writing about what concerns them. We are proud to see the outcome of the efforts we put in designing activities which appeal to most students. The poems, stories, articles, interviews and trips are really meaningful to students as they are a part of it. While going through this issue you will experience all kinds of emotions because most work by our team of dedicated students is personal, touching, real and authentic.
I will conclude by quoting Anatole France, the French writer who believes that ‘’the whole art of teaching is only the art of awakening the natural curiosity of young minds.’’ Our young writers need only someone to startle their creativity and awaken their inspiration. I am sure that as readers you will find the work in this issue interesting and we look forward to your comments.
